As hearts are turned unto the cross
And leave there sin and pain and loss,
Transformation brings new birth,
Filling all of life with worth.
New direction is as light
To show us paths which will be bright.
The cross brings joy and sweeping change,
Our lives to bless and rearrange.
Jesus died for me and you
To save us from sin's darkened hue.
He gave His life to set us free,
To be with Him eternally.
"Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth
so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the
race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the
author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy
that was set before him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is set down at
the right hand of the throne of God."
Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV
